The Temecula Valley Dance Connection is a co-ed dance oriented social club for young adults with Special Needs. Our students learn country western and hip-hop from professional instructors in a real-life environment. Our students have various conditions that can sometimes make it challenging to participate and socialize with their peers. Our primary focus is socialization. Dancing is simply the forum we use for our students to connect with one another. Our goal is to make the Dance Connection the place your young adult wants to go on Saturday nights! After each session, we offer an opportunity for students to dine as a group without direct parent supervision. For some of our students, the Dance Connection is their first opportunity to do so.
The Temecula Valley Dance Connection was established in 2012 by Mike and Leslie Echolds to support young adults with Special Needs. The Echolds have a young adult son with Special Needs. They are the founders of the Spirit League (www.spiritleague.org) and co-founder of New Vista School (www.newvistaschool.org).
